Rockwell City Calhoun County Democrat. Born Aug. 4, 1898, near Vallonia, Ind. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew K. Summa. Attended grade school in Medora, Ind., and rural schools nearby. Moved with parents to Mill Schools, Ill., where he attended high school. Moved to Rockwell City, Iowa, in 1917. Married Neva Reed Sept. 20, 1922. Parents of three boys, Ralph, Ray and Larry, all graduates of Drake University. Started farming in 1923 and still resides on the same farm. Served on school boards, farm boards, church boards, director of Calhoun County Mutual Insurance Company, member of I.O.O.F. lodge and Methodist church. Serving second term.
