Lamoni, Decatur County Democrat. Born in Penticon, B.C., Canada, of American parentage, June 14, 1938, the son of Paul and Alice Worthington of Spokane, Wash. Graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane in 1956. Moved to Iowa and attended Graceland College at Lamoni and the State University of Iowa at Iowa City, majoring in accounting and business administration. Married Veneta Snethen in 1959. Father of two girls: Penny, 2 and one-half and Debbie 1 year old. An owner of, and employed as clerk and office manager for Lamoni Sales Corp., a livestock auction at Lamoni, Iowa and of Lamoni Farms, Inc., with land located in Decatur County and Harrison County, Mo. Member of Lamoni Chamber of Commerce and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Serving first term.
