Gilmore City Humboldt County Republican. Born Oct. 9, 1905, Gilmore City, Humboldt County, Iowa. Educated in Gilmore City public school. Attended Rockford College, Rockford, Ill., for one year. Graduated from State University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1928 with a B.A. degree in home economics. Selected for Mortar Board. From 1934 to 1940 employed in commercial home economics. Since leaving commercial business in 1945 has traveled extensively and been concerned with farm affairs in Northern Iowa. Has been active in and president of the Humboldt County Council of Republican Women. Appointed member of Iowa Development Commission 1961-1962. Belongs to Methodist Church. Second term in house.

Has been active in and president of the Humboldt County Council of Republican Women. Is a member of the Methodist Church. Serving first term.
