Four children: Russell, Janet, Candace and Leah. Engaged in the manufacture of electric scoreboards and aluminum outboard boats. Past president and lieutenant governor of KIwanis Club. Member of the Methodist Church, American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. Served as majority floor leader in 59th General Assembly. Serving fifth term.
