Charter member of Orient Legion post 205; active in farm organization and public speaking; was school treasurer of Zion consolidated school; was a member of the county board of review, under the county assessor law; has participated in county politics and served as Republican precinct committeeman for 20 years. A member of the Zion Congregational-Christian Church, which he has served in numerous offices, retiring January 1955 from a five year term as church treasurer, and now serving as deacon. Fifth term in house.
