Baldwin Democrat 19th Senatorial District Jackson and Jones Counties. Born March 13, 1894, at Baldwin, Iowa. Son of George W. and Ella Tabor. Graduated from Baldwin High School and completed the commercial course at the Cedar Rapids Business College. Served in the navy during World War I. In June, 1923 married Ella Peterson of Sabula, Iowa. Have two married sons, Jack and James, and seven grandchildren. In partnership with son, Jack, in a farming and cattle feeding business on the farm that has been in the family for a hundred years. James studied medicine at University of Iowa, and is now in private practice in ear surgery at Denver, Colo. Served as committeeman on the Agricultural Adjustment Administration seven years. Member of the Methodist Church, Farm Bureau, and American Legion. Served three terms in house; first term in senate.
