John Q Public - Reg Republican [Private Citizen]
I am a registered republican and a resident of Ankeny, formerly of Des Moines. I have a degree in marketing research from an Iowa private college and work in a commodities market. I thoroughly understand how to interpret data while remaining neutral in the face of emotion, rhetoric before making my conclusions. Simply put, I am a fiscal conservative and I vote republican 99% of the time. There is validity to this study and the economic benefits to business owners, municipalities and the individual. Much like republicans want to reform Social Security to fix a broken system, this type of program has potential to replace entitlement programs and reduce bloated bureaucracy costs within the state system. Im not asking you to definitively decide one way or the other, Im simply asking you to delay an affirmative vote and reach out to the UpLift team for further understanding of the FACTS vs following party lines. Ask questions before deciding. Use this study to understand the potential and bring it back for consideration AFTER youve had time to properly analyze the final study in 2026. This house file was advanced through the house sub committee while the congressman acted like the screaming, emotional, uncontrolled teenager. Zero respect to the testimony or facts and frankly, embarrassing to the party. Please seek facts from the people in charge of the UpLift program before voting. Be the change you want to see in a world of uncompromising partisan politics!
