Jacob Wanderscheid [Food Bank of Siouxland]
I am in support of the Choose Iowa Program to promote the agriculture products of Iowa. Having a state as rich in ag history as Iowa, I believe this is an important way to support local economies, the state of Iowa as a whole, and provide additional nutrition to the diets of Iowans.I further support adding the Iowans Feeding Iowans act into this bill and under the Choose Iowa program. The public, private, and nonprofit partnership would create a pool of money to help the Food Banks across the state of Iowa purchase product from Iowan companies. It will give a boost to the Choice Iowa program and add a return on investment as Food Banks will match all dollars given to them by the state. Thank you for your time.
