I'm not sure why we are taking up valuable time and resources to host a fundraiser for the NRA on the heels of the deadliest school shooting in our state. Let's do better legislators. If you must let this bill pass, how about giving the proceeds to victims of gun violence or to programs that promote nonviolence, not a right wing lobbyist group.

I read the comment of Ms. Miller and her ability to categorize the NRA as a right wing organization while the DOT is currently issuing license plates featuring colleges that support and refuse to condone anti Semitic rhetoric shows a lack of understanding but a blatant lack of tolerance . It is that institutions right to hate Jews but in this case the right to support the second Amendment and our God given rights shouldnt be held to a different standard. As a law abiding United States citizen and citizen of Iowa I believe supporting the NRA is just as important in my eye as supporting the Cattlemen, Grinnell College, or EMS providers.
