This proposed legislation is a good idea. Landowners routinely spend thousands to maintain their properties for ag, rec, and wildlife usage. Tags in return for this huge investment is welcomed.

This bill will do nothing for the perceived"deer Problem" in this state. It is doing nothing more than side stepping the DNR and wildlife management. Allowing for the sale of unused tags to anyone they want to will only make the "deer problem" worse. I believe that the majority of these tags will be sold to nonresident hunters, who only want to shoot a big Iowa buck and have the money to pay for these tags. These tags need to be antlerless tags only.
