Carl Olsen [Iowans for Medical Marijuana]

Why are we not conforming Iowa Code Chapter 124E with federal regulations? 21 U.S.C. 822(d) and 21 C.F.R. 1307.03?Iowa has authorized marijuana extracts for people with serious medical conditions. As a condition for participation in the program, manufacturers, distributors, dispensaries, and registrants are all required to violate federal drug law. That is unacceptable. 21 U.S.C. 822(d) authorizes all of these activities to be exempt from federal drug law, and 21 C.F.R. 1307.03 is the process for making that application.
