This bill mentions that will support pregnancy by creating more options for the maternal support program, but this is false. The purpose of this bill is to fund entities that counsel pregnant people in medically inaccurate, incomplete, and harmful ways about their pregnancy options. Iowans should be trusted to make what should be private health care decisions in consultation with their medical provider. They deserve to be given accurate information and a fullrange of medical options. These politicians are trying to restrict, control and manipulate the information provided to pregnant people.$2 million from the Iowa taxpayer money should not fund these types of places that are not alternatives, they are predatorial. SF 2005 was already introduced to expand Medicaid postpartum coverage for 12 months. Please focus on that one, and not on legislation based on misleading information. PLEASE VOTE NO FOR SF2354!

I do not support this bill. I do believe that all the services should be available to persons who are pregnant. I also believe that abortion is health care and sometimes it is the best decision for the person and their family. Please do not pass a bill that will make it more difficult for people to access the health care they need.I am a social worker and have worked with women and girls my entire career. Abortion is not a decision that people make easily. Support is needed.

Please vote the part of this bill dealingvwith crisis pregnancy centers down. Let's use public dollars to promote the public good and public health instead of funding deceitful and questionable organizations.

Crisis pregnancy centers provide false information to vulnerable, pregnant Iowans. Iowans need comprehensive, medically accurate education that includes ALL options and allows them to make the best decision for themself. There are already amazing community resources and organizations that provide options in a safe and non judgemental environment. We do not need to be funneling $2 million worth of public funds to these fake clinics that knowingly lie and withhold information to those seeking options. VOTE NO FOR SF2354!
