Representatives,I'm asking you to pass this bill through committee. My husband is a police officer. His profession has very large number of veterans and treatment under veterans preference is extremely outdated. As time has gone on and politics have changed, employers and courts have found ways to circumvent the original intention of the law and fairness/due process. Please make sure our veterans are taken care of.

Veterans today are being terminated without pre termination rights. They are having to file medical records that should never be open to the public during appeals or having their private information wrongfully being filed by the state. These updates to the law would show that Iowa cares about their veterans. I am a Veteran and a police officer in Iowa and ask for your support for this bill.
