A bill for an act relating to fire fighters and emergency medical services members operating certain vehicles. (Formerly SF 503.) Effective date: 07/01/2022.
As first responder we have to accept the responsibility to protect our communities. When we respond to a call we have to focus on what is important and that is community safety. We have to drive the response vehicles responsibly and we are held accountable for our actions. The same should be expected of us in our personal vehicle when we are going to the station just because were getting called to an emergency should not make us exempt from personal responsibility. We preech to our responder's that we have to respond safely to be affective if we cause another accident we didn't succeed in protecting our community.
