Bernard Lettington [Animal Rescue League of Iowa]
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa has two concerns regarding this bill.First, the definition of what constitutes a "nuisance" animal. Are specific activities intended to be defined as constituting a nuisance? For example, raccoons eating corn in a field or woodchucks undermining a building foundation. The current wording seems ambiguous.Second, how will the provisions of this law interact with any existing county or municipal ordinances that may already exist and be more, or less, restrictive?
