I am asking you to vote against this bill. The wildlife of this state is owned and managed by the state. Landowners, outfitters, or any other individual do not have more of a right to a deer tag than others. This bill would be of great benefit to those with means to pay guides or outfitters. Guides or outfitters usually charge more than $3,000 (sometimes lots more) for a week of hunting. A nonresident anysex deer tag is almost $600. Most nonresidents also have several $50 preference points. This bill would greatly aid those with the means to pay lots of money to deer hunt. Their odds of drawing a deer tag would go up exponentially. The odds of people without lots of money (which happens to be most hunters both resident and nonresident) would decrease significantly. Please carefully consider what passage of this bill means for average people. Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully consider my comments.
