Rural School Advocates of Iowa is registered as undecided on this bill. We would fully be in favor of the bill as we believe it helps meet a need of our rural families and students. However, we would like some consideration of the process and not put the burden on local school administrators to determine where and in what business a student is working, and whether that should qualify for the minor permit. That designation should be left up to the employer, just as "school permits are left up to the schools.
