Thank you Representatives for serving Iowans. Please support and fully fund this historic appropriations bill. Your support for Iowa's kids that have been diagnosed with cancer comes at a critical time, each year 150 kids are diagnosed in Iowa. In the last 3 years, 57 have died and been remembered at U of Iowa Dance Marathon. Funding pediatric cancer research at the U of Iowa will enable the doctor's and researchers to find better treatment options, fund new clinical trials and improve outcomes for Iowa's kids. Thank you for your commitment and attention to this opportunity to make a lasting impact!

Thank you so much for serving Iowans. Passing this bill would mean the world to me! On August 20th 2025 my baby boy Bodi at just 4 months old was diagnosed with malignant rhabdoid tumor. This is a very rare, aggressive, hard to treat cancer cancer that no doctors truly know how to treat as the is NO RESEARCH out there. After Bodi was diagnosed he went through chemo, stem cell retrieval, and was intubated for 36 days. We were at the University for the longest, torturing 97 days of my life. Bodi discharged home on hospice as his tumor was incurable and there was nothing they could do. We got to celebrate Bodi's 1st Thanksgiving 2 days after coming home....On December 3rd 2025 cancer took my baby. At just 7 months old my baby was gone. Passing this bill could prevent this, the doctors were in awe that Bodi was gone already, they truly thought we had more time with him. Please please please pass this so other parents hopefully won't have to go through what I have.
