HF 2640 is far too broad and fails to distinguish between cloud seeding an established, scientifically validated technology used across the United States for over 70 years to enhance precipitation for farmers, municipalities, and water authorities and geoengineering techniques such as stratospheric aerosol injection and solar radiation management, which remain largely experimental and have never been operationally deployed at scale.Cloud seeding programs currently operate in nine states in accordance with state law and under federal reporting requirements established by the Weather Modification Reporting Act of 1972. Attached is a document answering FAQs about cloud seeding, its efficacy and safety and utility.Thank you.
