HF2711 seems to delete all mentions of affirmative action and anything else that might help people of color and women in all areas of life. It's as if suddenly discrimination disappeared from society and all decisions are made solely on merit. This is not the world we live in. This whole bill is bad, but especially the backtracking on implicit bias training and other sections having to do with law enforcement. After the murder of George Floyd and protests in May 2020, legislators voted unanimously for a bill that included those sections. Some who voted yes then are still in office and now support removing those sections. The governor said at the time you all were just getting started in addressing these old problems. It's almost as if you didn't mean any of it; like you were just going along with the knowledge you could repeal it later. Our state is going backward in so many ways. Trust in our state's "leaders" is gone. Please oppose HF2711.

No on HF 2711. This bill will drive people out of our state, further hurting our economic growth which is already the worst in the nation. Quite frankly, this bill shows exactly why we need these provisions in our laws.
