I appreciate the desire to address our housing affordability problems, but this task force is not designed to get to the root causes, which are simple. Wages have stagnated, while landlords have been driving up housing prices and won't sell as long as they can collect rent. Housing affordability is solved by raising wages (including the minimum wage) and incentivizing institutional real estate owners to part with properties so families can buy them.
