No to SSB 3163 as currently written. The elimination of important aspects of our economy and human experience in the definitions of the content areas is concerning. The imposition of a common course numbering system and cocurriculum is a needless burden. I concede that a common course numbering system would be convenient; but colleges will coalesce around one in their own time for market reasons without government imposition. The cocurriculm requirement doesn't take into account local conditions which the community colleges are familiar with and the legislature apparently is not.
