This bill is a giant pile of nonsense, and passing it will only encourage more people to move out of state.

Oppose. What is this ticky tacky micromanagement bill? Iowa GOP has long left behind the aim of small government and even conservatism, and I sincerely think you should form a new party. This bill will serve not the people, but legislators with too much time on their hands. We need health Iowa land and healthy Iowa people; please bend your energies towards bettering peoples lives and not your own interests.

House Resolution 2413 is bad policy. It pretends to fix problems but makes them worse. It does not use evidence or realworld facts. Instead, it relies on fear and rigid ideas that do not reflect how people actually live. This resolution increases government control while claiming to protect values. It creates more rules and more paperwork. Families, workers, and local providers lose flexibility. The people closest to the problems lose the ability to use judgment and common sense. Decisions are made by lawmakers who do not face the consequences.HR 2413 ignores longterm harm. It risks hurting vulnerable people. It puts more strain on already stressed services. It creates confusion where stability is needed. That is not responsible leadership.Iowa needs laws that are careful, practical, and based on reality. This resolution is not. It prioritizes political messaging over good governance. HR 2413 should be rejected because it causes harm without offering real solutions.

Please stop trying to limit the governors power just because its obvious that Republicans are going to lose the next election. The GOP has become an utter disgrace and embarrassment to the state and this legislation would only add to this.

This bill is ludacris. It reeks of fear that a new governor will be a political opponent and is obviously the same approach as what occurred in Wisconsin in recent history. If you expected a new governor to be the same party as you, you would never even broach this subject. Furthermore if your political rivals presented this you would loose your minds.

The Republican controlled house and senate acquiesced to every one of Governor Reynolds whims over the last 9 years, including by crippling the auditors office despite bipartisan coalition of state auditors coming out against the bill, and now decide to curb executive power. The Iowa Republican Party should be ashamed of this transparent attempt to copy Wisconsins playbook ahead of an election with one of the most popular Democrats in state government ahead in polls. Let the people decide. You are corrupt.
