Please oppose SSB 3133.Polluters should be held accountable for their pollution. Simple enough. We should be doing everything we can to clean our water and air, not shielding massive corporations that make them worse. As an Iowan that was diagnosed with bladder cancer 3 years ago, I am convinced that our water, and the nitrates, pesticides etc in the water here in Iowa has contributed to my cancer, as well as so many other Iowans.Protecting polluters signals youre okay with Iowans being harmed as long as it doesnt affect corporate agricultures bottom line.If someone cant be held responsible for their actions, why would they try to reduce their emissions? Please make your decision based on what is best for Iowa's citizens and oppose SSB 3133.

The most simple statement was if people or organizations cannot be held accountable for their actions what would be the motivation to change or in this case farmers being responsible for their pollution. There would be no motivation to clean up their pollution or to adopt clean energy technology . Yet they are in business to make money like any other industry that exists. they should be held accountable.

Please vote against SSB 3133. Right is right & wrong is wrong. If a regular industry is required to limit & document the emission of greenhouse gases, so should the ag industry. That is the only way that the rest of us can measure & know what we are dealing with. We like to refer to agriculture as the "ag industry" until it is asked to comply with regulations just like any other industry does. Then, all at once, it wants to be exempt. Vote NO on SSB 3133.

This bill grossly removes accountability for harm caused to the environment and people. For what purpose other than protecting destructive businessasusual practices and shielding predatory companies is this bill proposed? Clean water, healthy soil, and breathable air are human rights. Do not remove accountability measures that only further erode the environment in order to keep lining big ags pockets. This bill is a gigantic step in the wrong direction of a just, equitable, and sustainable food system. Vote NO.

This bill is a big step in the wrong direction. Iowa needs to be focusing on cleaning up its environment, and with a bill like this there will be no incentive for big ag to care for the land and the water they that it so heavily relies on. A bill like this will cause harm to the health and wellbeing of Iowans so that corporations can get away blame free for the harmful practices of corporate agriculture in our state. VOTE NO.

I notice that fossil fuels are not considered a source of greenhouse gasses by the definitions in this bill. Is that a deliberate omission so that greenhouse gasses from fossil fuels are liable? Or is the lack of mention extra protection for them. This bill is too unclear in both the wording and intent to be passed. Vote No.
