Citizen Engagement declares IN FAVOR of HF 2145 however the governor should also be prohibited from closing down private businesses as well with an emergency proclamation. Please amend and move the bill.

OPPOSED. This bill is performative in nature. It obviously goes back to the 2020 Covid outbreak. We lost almost 375,000 people that year. All we collectively had to do was hunker down for a couple weeks and we couldve stemmed the spread and saved lives. But no, churches, taverns, and other demanded to stay open and eschewed protective measures! My father succumbed to Covid that year because he went out to open facilities that had sick people working there. This legislative body does not have sight into the future. There could come an unforeseen emergency such that the governor would need full emergency powers. Those powers should extend over all public spaces, churches included. Vote NO.

Please support this bill. These past actions have been ruled unconstitutional. This bill will prohibit this from taking place in the future.
