I am concerned that SSB 3008 would reduce local control and flexibility over public safety and emergency response services, particularly with respect to how 911 services are governed, funded, and managed. Decisions about emergency communications and response are critical to public safety and should remain closely tied to the needs and conditions of local communities.My concern is that the changes proposed in SSB 3008 could lead to unintended consequences, including reduced accountability, disruptions in service, or policies that do not adequately reflect the realities faced by local governments, emergency responders, and residents. Public safety infrastructure works best when it is locally informed, transparent, and responsive to the people it serves.For these reasons, I urge you to oppose SSB 3008 and to support approaches that strengthen rather than weaken local input, collaboration, and effectiveness in Iowas emergency services.Thank you for your time and for considering
