I support HF 2044 and urge the subcommittee to advance the bill. Foreign nationals should not be funding ballot measures either for or against. As written, foreign nationals does not include permanent residents who are by definition noncitizens. I do not think that any noncitizens should be funding our elections. Please advance this bill with an amendment to limit funding to U.S. citizens. Respectfully,

This smells like making a mountain out of a molehill. It's very likely creating a burden for treasurers all out of proportion to the amount of foreign donations actually received, and it does nothing to solve our state's economic, water quality, and cancer issues.
