I am for removing minor consent. This should have never been put in place to begin with. These vaccines especially the HpV have been life altering, life ending for some.Parents have the ultimate authority in deciding what medical preventions for STD's and especially vaccinations are beneficial to their children.Federal law under the NCVIA lays out that parents must receive the Vaccine information statement and provide consent for all vaccines on the childhood schedule. I am in favor of this bill. Parents should be responsible for helping their children make these decisions. Minors need guidance with decisions that have lifelong effects like this. It is not the health system or governments place to grant authority for minors to make these decisions it is the parents place. Move this bill forward.

Please support this commun sense Bill SF304! Parents know their child more than anyone else. If something bad happens after this medical intervention how will they be able to respond to that adverse reaction properly when they are not informed of their child getting a vaccine? It is wrong to go around the God give authority of parents and give our children over to the government inthis way. Follow the current law of this land to give informed consent to parrnts, the legal gardian of the child. Please vote yes for SF304.Thank you

Please vote YES on SF 304.Parents are the legal & physical guardian of their minor children. Not the state and not any other party.Parents must be included in every conversation about medical products and procedures offered and given to their children.Schools cannot even give Tylenol to students without parent permission. This is because of known side effects and potential adverse events.There is no vaccine or any other medical treatment, that should be offered or administered to minor aged children without written parent consent.Federal law states that parents must be given the VIS statement to consent. Iowa is violating this law when the allow HPV or HepB vax to be offered and given to minors without parental consent.

I oppose this bill. Minor consent saves lives, increases access to healthcare, protects health and removes barriers for young people. Parental involvement in healthcare decisions can be important in many situations, but is not always possible.

While I respect the need for guidance from parents, I recognize that there are minors whose parents dont have involvement in their lives, dont understand the needs of the minor, or in some horrible cases are abusing the child and this child cant communicate with the parent. Minors need to be able to voice their needs. This vaccine is important to stem the HPV, which 80% of sexually Active people contract at some point. HPV is a known step towards cancer. Please help children learn autonomy. When minors are trusted and armed with GOOD information, they absolutely have the capacity to make good choices for their lives and bodies.

Please vote NO on SF 304. There are already too many barriers to accessing quality health care. This bill would remove one of the few opportunities minors have to prevent serious and potentially deadly diseasesespecially those living in abusive or unsafe homes.Personal beliefs should not override a young persons right to lifesaving, evidencebased health care.Vote NO on SF 304.
