This bill is absurd and dangerous. Parents being able to opt their children out of Human Growth and Development in the first place is (morally speaking) a crime, a denial to those children of what they need and have a right to know about their bodies and their world.SF 2066 would only make it worse by making parents jump through hoops to allow their children to enroll in Human Growth and Development classes in the first place, a baldfaced attempt by the state to discourage children from learning these subjects, and the provision that parents be given a detailed breakdown of what is being taught is just hanging an open season sign on teachers for the most puritanical parents to take aim at.
