Be very careful about incrementally increasing those animal mistreatment penalties to eventually equal the penalties of the same mistreatment of children. That is the goal of the animal zealot ideology. This is a bill that Humane World for Animals, formerly HSUS, has pushed for years. Penalties were increased in 2020 and now the desire to increase again. Frognpotting. Granted there is a bill that would now increase penalties of child endangerment.
