I have yet to see HF2013 added to any calendar for the Judiciary Committee. I would just like to preemptively voice my opposition to the Bill. It is inane and unrealistic. The drafter clearly has no idea just how large the County Attorney's caseload is. It would also likely result in many people entering a plea to unjust charges simply because the County Attorney office has no ability to dismiss charges. Especially at a time where the State Public Defender's office is already understaffed. Or, it would result it a drastic underprosecution of charges because the County Attorney office will want to avoid the burdens imposed by this bill. Either result is clearly not the intended result.
