Thank you so much for including a 1 million dollar appropriation for Double Up Food Bucks in this budget bill!DUFB is a triple win for Iowans: It helps low income families afford healthy foods 61% of SNAP recipients report high cost as a main barrier to healthy eating. It supports local food farmers local farmers markets across the state benefit from DUFB purchases and participating grocery stores agree to increase their local food purchases. It stimulates the Iowan economy state investment in DUFB receives a 1 to 1 federal match and ever dollar spent on DUFB generates a total economic contribution of $1.90 $2.50.Thank you so much for including this appropriation in the HHS budget!Paige Chickering
