It is imperative that a special education weight ing system be established.Public schools are struggling with this. The voucher system has not helped at all. Any school public or private must offer the same services if receiving tax dollars. Thank you

This group is greatly needed. As a former superintendent, our districts always found ourselves with a deficit and one that we always needed to manage. It is incumbent on all educators to serve all children regardless of what needs they have and what then is required. For too long, Iowa has not dealt with this taxation issue.

Special education services are a critical part of our school systems and are needed now more than ever. I see the impact of quality SPED teachers on the lives of vulnerable students each day. They work hard to help their students become their best most capable version of themselves so that they can become contributing members of society. The special education associates are also a critical part of the SPED services. We need to provide adequate funding to benefit our future generations.

If a family has never had a student with special or extra needs I don't think it ever occurs to them that many children need extra services and help. These are our citizens and it's our job to help all students have the best experiences and learning possibilities available.As a parent we want the best for our children and as citizens we need to put children and their success at the top of our list. We are only as good as our weakest citizens, lets embrace them and foster their success. But we need to add moral support and financial support to make sure our education system can provide services to all our population.
