Please vote no on this bill, because if you can't have a gun in a school or bus, I don't think you should have one in a locked car, there are way too many school shootings, it is out of control

This bill dangerously alters existing firearm regulations on school property in Iowa, raising significant concerns about student safety. By allowing school districts to permit individuals to carry firearms in vehicles transporting students, it opens the door to potential tragedies. The provision that allows individuals with a valid permit to keep a concealed weapon in their locked vehicle on school grounds only heightens the risk. In a time when school shootings are a haunting reality, this legislation seems to prioritize gun rights over the safety and wellbeing of our children, leaving us all in a state of fear and uncertainty.

Please vote Opposed to HF 621. Only people who should have access to lethal weapons on school premises should be police or sheriffs. Everyone else should have non lethal weapon access if needed. If this bill passes through regardless, please add amendment so that the guns mechanisms to fire arent attached to locked gun. This way if someone manages to get a hold of it with ill intent they are not able to shoot it right away. They would have to assemble first.
