HSB 34 adding human development idea is great. Students can actually see a real baby developing in the womb. Perfect timing for them to understand the seriousness of relationships and consequences of behaviors. I support this bill.

I OPPOSE HSB 34. We should not mandate showing Meet Baby Olivia to Iowa students. The film is medically inaccurate propaganda. Aside from the problematic content of the film, the legislature should not be legislating details of school curricula. Control over the specifics of what students are taught should remain at the local level with the people best qualified to make the decisions: educators and school boards.
