Im in favor of this bill. I was denied fulfillment of a prescription at several pharmacies during COVID. One of them admitted they would have filled but for a memo they had just received from their licensing board telling them they couldnt without losing their license. This overreach absolutely needs to be addressed.

I support this bill. I was not able to fill a prescription in 2021 that would have been very helpful for my child. Several pharmacies in my area refused to fill the prescription that a medical doctor prescribed. This was unacceptable and my child suffered from that unfortunate decision.

I support this bill. my mother had to drive an hour and a half to go get her prescription filled during the pandemic, since none of the pharmacies in our area would fill her prescription. Ridiculous!

I support this bill. The denial of filling a prescription prescribed by a licensed doctor is unacceptable and an overreach of their authority. This bill should advance.

I am writing in strong support of SF117 because medical professionals and patients must have the freedom to access necessary treatments without interference from employers or bureaucratic restrictions.During COVID, I was prescribed ivermectin, but my local pharmacy refused to fill these prescriptions, despite being legally prescribed by medical professionals. I had to go out of state to a compounding pharmacy in Kansas just to get the medication I neededat a significantly higher cost. This is unacceptable.Across Iowa and the country, doctors were persecuted for prescribing certain treatments that did not align with politically driven narratives. Pharmacies denied patients access to medications, effectively overriding doctors' professional judgment. SF117 is critical to ensuring that healthcare decisions remain between a patient and their doctornot dictated by corporate policies or licensing boards acting outside their scope. No pharmacist or doctor should be punished for doing what is right for their patients. I urge you to support SF117 and protect the ability of medical professionals to prescribe and dispense medications based on science, experience, and patient needsnot politics.

HyVee denied my doctors prescription for me during Covid. Why should they have that kind of power in an emergency? I trust my doctor. I do not trust pharmacies for my medical care.

I am in favor of this bill. Other states have passed similar laws. I have helped direct many people to doctors offices and companies that would get them their medicines that they needed.
