I support HF34 because transparency of the law is very important. So many schools currently use the slogan "no shots, no school " which is not true and misleading. It leads to medical coercion and does not consider the individual health history or provide informed choice for parents. Please support HF34 which will cut down on paperwork for school nurses and school administration and allow parents the truth in the law.

SUPPORT HF34. I am the parent of a child that has a neurological injury caused by his 6 month vaccines. He is 9 years old now.I spend a lot of time in the school office waiting to pick up our son for therapy. While I was waiting one day, the school nurse flagged down another parent and told her that her child NEEDED to get "X" vaccine because it was required by law and they wouldn't be allowed to come to school without it. Being the parent of a vaccine injured child and knowing full well that Iowa allowed religious and medical exemptions, I could not keep my mouth shut. I interrupted them and told the mom that I had no idea of her stance on vaccines but that she could turn in an exemption per Iowa law if she wanted to. The nurse was upset and told me "i know what families vaccinate and those that dont". I told her she "had no way to read someone's mind and she had no idea if someone was questioning vaccines and maybe some of them felt pressured to vaccinate because NOBODY told them they could get an exemption!"I know thus happens daily because in all the local fb mom groups I always see parents saying "our school/daycare/doctors office told us we HAVE TO VACCINATE because its the law and theres no other option." These places are not presenting the FULL law when they are not making parents aware that Iowa allows exemptions and they should be reprimanded for pressuring parents into vaccinating their kids.PLEASE support this bill.

It is very important that we be completely transparent about all exemptions for vaccinations from the schools to the hospitals to the physicians office.

Please advance HF 34 as many parents do not know that there are exemptions. Where there is risk, there must be choice. And parents need to know they have a choice. Thank you.

Please advance bill HF34 so parents have information on both exemption to vaccines and vaccines necessary and can make a choice for or against vaccines.

I support HF34 to add transparency of the law. Schools currently using the slogan "no shots, no school " is misleading. It lends to medical coercion and does not consider individual health history or provide informed consent for parents. Please support HF34 which will cut out added paperwork for school nurses and school administration and allow parents to care for their families with full knowledge of all the options.

Please support this bill. Opposition to it would be absurd considering what we just went through the last 5 years.

I agree that the schools need to be very transparent to parents about their right to have their children exempt from vaccinations. This info should be provided up front to parents. To many children are having side effects that can harm them for their lifetime.1 in 39 children have autism and the common denotator is vaccines. They put to many toxins in them. They all have aborted fetal cells in them. I believe they all should be stopped and reevaluated and all the added garbage removed. I actually believe that all the toxins need to be pointed out to parents and the harm they cause. I agree that HF 34 should be passed, and more bills need to be passed against them and the manufactures need to be held liable for the damage they cause to the children.

Please advance HF 34 as many parents do not know that there are exemptions. Where there is risk, there must be choice. And parents need to know they have a choice when making decisions about their children receiving immunizations.

DECEPTIONS NEED TO STOP!!! Schools are funded by our hard earned money, aka TAXES. This makes school a government agency. So we are mandated to pay for our schools and then we are lied to and told vaccines are mandatory. I dont mind paying for schools because it helps better education. Our area does well with this. However, this illegal vaccine issue of hiding the truth creates unwarranted government control on two sides. Vaccines are also paid for by tax moneys because the Dept of Public Health provides the vaccines, paid by taxes. People are injected by Public Health nurses whose wages are paid by our taxes and MANY people are not charged for the vaccine or the service. Those who have insurance, the vaccine and service is charged to insurances and recipients may still have to pay cofees and/or deductibles. Please move forward with HF 34!!!

Please advance HF 34. If we cannot have sovereignty over the right to choose what goes into our bodies we have no liberties.

I support HF34! Parents ultimately have the last say on the decision to vaccinate or not. All of them, a handful, or none, it doesn't matter. The fact that no one besides parents of vaccine injured children are telling parents that they have AN OPTION is ridiculous. Let the parents know and make the decision that is best for them!

Transparency of the law is important. Parents should not be coerced into to making medical decisions when filing back to school paperwork. Please support this bill that will reduce hassle for schools and improve parental understanding of the law.Thank you,Julya

Good evening, Legislators,Thank you for your time and service in the Iowa Legislature. I am registering in favor of this bill because we, as Americans, have the right to informed consent. Whether we agree with exemptions or not, every person is entitled to be informed about them, and Iowa is obligated to ensure our institutions are informing Iowans. According to The National Library of Medicine: "Informed consent is a cornerstone of medicine, ensuring ethical treatment decisions and patientcentered care. Patients have the right to make informed and voluntary treatment decisions. Informed consent is more than merely a signature on a document; it is a communication process between the clinician and the patient. This process ensures that the patient is fully informed about the nature of the procedure or intervention, the potential risks and benefits, and the alternative treatments available. The patient can refuse or withdraw consent at any time during treatment."

Please pass HF 34. Parents should know that they have options regarding vaccine choice. Parents need to know upfront that they have a choice and should never be coerced to vaccinate their child. Over the years it has gotten more and more difficult to locate the immunization exemption information on state health department websites. I've helped numerous parents over the years who didn't realize that immunization exemptions were available and helped them to locate the state laws regarding exemptions. The immunization exemption information should not only be provided at the same time as state requirements, but be easily located on the state health department website.Respectfully

Please advance bill HF34. Parents must know that they have the right to use an exemption. Many parents believe that if they want to have their children in public schools, they must give their children the full schedule of vaccines. They cannot choose to deny one vaccine from that schedule without an exemption. And most don't know that an exemption is even a choice. It is a form of bullying/coercion that is taking place. The vaccination schedule has tripled in the last 40 years. Parents must be given the option to choose which, if any, vaccines they want their children to have. We want what's best for our kids. We need to be provided the right to make medical decisions for our children that are not based in fear, but instead based on what is best for them.

My children are in a homeschool assistance program and thankfully the school gave us no issues when we filled our exemptions. when the school discloses the whole law properly there is less hassle for the school nurses, administrators, and parents. Many of our surrounding districts do not function this way and have frequently used catchy slogans like, no shots no school, which simply aren't true to try to coerce parents into medical/religious choices that may not be right for their family.Parents like myself have worked hard to build relationships for years to make sure individual school systems are being transparent but we need uniformity of law disclosure across the state. Parents have the right to know that exemptions exist when filing all the proper paperwork with their daycares and school. This bill can provide the transparency and clarity that will make things easier and eliminate the possibility of medical coercion. Please support this bill.

I support HF34. When my childrens school or daycare communicates with me regarding an Iowa law, including the law on immunizations, I expect them to communicate the entire provision of the law. This would mean they include the information about my right to an immunization exemption and the necessary forms. Currently and for the last 8 years, my childrens school has not communicated the entire law but instead has misinformed and us and given the appearance of coercion to comply with immunizations or be refused enrollment. HF34 will clarify that schools and daycares must communicate all of the options in the immunization law clearly to parents so that they can make an informed decision for their family.

I wish I was told about religious and medical exemptions before my son entered kindergarten back in 2009. I was told he had to be update with his vaccines in order to enter kindergarten, so I went ahead, against my better judgement, and had him vaccinated. My son was injured by the vaccines and was unable to walk, stand or speak for two days.I support this bill because parents have the right to know that medical exemptions and religious exemptions exist! This bill would help protect children.
