I urge the Local Govt Committee to approved HF 116 to require large counties (population 60,000) to elect county supervisors under Plan 3 separate districts in which the supervisors reside.Black Hawk County has 5 supervisors that all live within the Waterloo Cedar Falls metro area. None of the supervisors live in rural areas. The rural areas deserve a seat at the table for county government also.
