SF 2080 sets the requirement for parent permission before school districts conduct invasive physical screenings. Both the UEN and RSAI are registered as undecided by the bill. Schools already receive parent permission for such screenings. This bill includes the exceptions which we believe to be sufficient, by specifically excluding hearing, vision or scoliolsis screening and allowing screenings for emergent health situations, to cooperate with a child abuse assessment, or an "eposodic individual screening done in accordance with professional licensed practice". Although we do not believe this bill is necessary, we do not have any strong objections to it (thus, registered as undecided.)
