Waste Volume Reduction and Recycling Study Committee (J)

Charge

To develop a long-term waste volume reduction plan which will
preserve the state's environment and assist businesses and local
communities. Review the progress of state recycling projects and
recommend how recycling can be increased. Also examine the role of sanitary landfills in waste volume reduction, recycling, and the implementation of improved waste disposal technology. Submit a final report containing recommendations to the Legislative Council by December 15, 1988.
