HOUSE STUDY BILL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
H.S.B. 164.1 Ways and Means
Relating to property taxes by requiring a super majority vote by the
general assembly on state appropriations funding certain property
tax credits and exemptions and providing local government
assistance and on legislation increasing maximum property tax rates
set by state statute.
H.S.B. 179 Economic Growth
Relating to new capital investment for businesses and new jobs by
creating a new capital investment program and amending the new
jobs and income program.
H.S.B. 180 Economic Growth
Relating to animal biotechnology by creating an animal biotechnology
commercialization fund, extending the time period during which a life
science enterprise may purchase agricultural land, making
appropriations, and providing an effective date.
H.S.B. 181 Economic Growth
Renaming the department of economic development and the Iowa
economic development board.
H.S.B. 182 Ways and Means
Relating to the distribution and use of tax revenues from the local
option sales and services tax for school infrastructure purposes
