The Senate met in regular session at 8:06 a.m., President Kramer
presiding.
Prayer was offered by Godz Guys (Music Ministry) of the Gloria
Dei Lutheran Church in Urbandale, Iowa. They were the guests of
Senator Maddox.
The Journal of Tuesday, April 9, 2002, was approved.
RESOLUTION REFERRED TO COMMITTEE
Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that
Senate Resolution 135 be referred from the Regular Calendar to
the committee on Rules and Administration.
CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION

Senate Resolution 148
Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent to take up
the following resolution:
1 SENATE RESOLUTION 148
2 By: Committee on Rules and Administration
3 A Senate resolution honoring Senator JoAnn Johnson.
4 WHEREAS, Senator JoAnn Johnson has retired from
5 legislative office after completing nearly eight years
6 in office as a State Senator; and
7 WHEREAS, Senator Johnson's distinguished career as
8 a state legislator has included service as Chairperson
9 of the Commerce Committee and of the Ways and Means
10 Committee; as Vice Chairperson of the Health and Human
