Prayer was offered by Bishop Dinardo of the Arch Diocese, Sioux
City. He is the guest of Representative Hoversten of Woodbury.
The Journal of Tuesday, March 6, 2001 was approved.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 535, by committee on local government, a bill for an
act allowing cities to issue general obligation bonds, revenue bonds,
or loan agreements to fund the construction and equipping of child
care centers and providing an effective date.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 536, by Fallon, a bill for an act removing economic
development as a purpose for approval of an urban renewal plan and
an urban renewal project for an urban renewal area.
Read first time and referred to committee on local government.
House File 537, by committee on local government, a bill for an
act relating to local government fiscal reform.
Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means.
House File 538, by Warnstadt, a bill for an act relating to the
content of marketing, informational, and educational materials of the
lottery board.
Read first time and referred to committee on state government.
