The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:48 a.m., Carroll of
Poweshiek in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend David Loy, pastor of the
Community of Christ Church, Hiawatha.
The Journal of Monday, February 26, 2001 was approved.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:
Shey of Linn, until his arrival, on request of Rants of Woodbury; Teig of Hamilton,
until his arrival, on request of Arnold of Lucas; Huser of Polk, until her arrival, on
request of Warnstadt of Woodbury.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 410, by Tyrrell, a bill for an act requiring as part of
the budget process the disclosure by each state agency of fees,
charges, or other remuneration received from another state agency.
Read first time and referred to committee on appropriations.
House File 411, by Heaton, a bill for an act repealing the ban on
persons or spouses of persons who receive direct or indirect
compensation from or who have certain privileges in a county public
hospital, from serving as a trustee for that county public hospital.
Read first time and referred to committee on local government.
House File 412, by Klemme and Kettering, a bill for an act
relating to the operation, regulation, and equipment of watercraft,
establishing watercraft safety courses, and subjecting violators to a
penalty, and providing an effective date.
