The House resumed session and consideration of Senate File 65 at
10:10 a.m., Speaker Siegrist in the chair.
Alons of Sioux offered the following amendment H-1032 filed by
Rants of Woodbury and moved its adoption:
H-1032
1 Amend Senate File 65, as passed by the Senate, as
2 follows:
3 1. Page 2, line 27, by striking the figure
4 "$1,995,780" and inserting the following:
5 "$2,663,921".
6 2. Page 3, line 9, by striking the figure
7 "$640,561" and inserting the following: "$715,000".
Amendment H-1032 was adopted.
Kreiman of Davis offered amendment H-1024 filed by Kreiman,
et al., as follows:
H-1024
1 Amend Senate File 65, as passed by the Senate, as
2 follows:
3 1. By striking page 1, line 1 through page 3,
4 line 23 and inserting the following:
5 "Sec. . LOW-INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE
6 PROGRAM. There is appropriated from the general fund
7 of the state to the department of human rights for the
8 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June
9 30, 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof as
10 is necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
11 For supplementation of the low-income home energy
12 assistance appropriation made in 2000 Iowa Acts,
13 chapter 1220, section 11:
14 $20,000,000"
15 20,000,000"
16 2. By renumbering as necessary.

amendment H-1024, filed by him from the floor and moved its
adoption:
