1 2 BY TYMESON, WARNSTADT, ALONS, HOFFMAN, and KETTERING
1 3 (COMPANION TO LSB 3595SS BY KING)
1 4 A Resolution recognizing Task Force Charlie of the Iowa
1 5 Army National Guard for its dedication and outstanding
1 6 performance of duty.
1 7 WHEREAS, 122 soldiers from Company C, First
1 8 Battalion, 168th Infantry (Task Force Charlie), were
1 9 selected to perform a vital security mission in Kuwait
1 10 from January 16, 2001, to June 30, 2001; and
1 11 WHEREAS, Task Force Charlie includes troops from
1 12 Denison and western Iowa; and
1 13 WHEREAS, throughout their mobilization, deployment,
1 14 and demobilization, the members of Task Force Charlie
1 15 continually demonstrated professionalism, dedication,
1 16 and skill of the highest level; and
1 17 WHEREAS, the members of Task Force Charlie, in
1 18 their active duty abroad, were separated from home and
1 19 family relationships and obligations, and missed
1 20 special family occasions as they fulfilled their
1 21 assignment; and
1 22 WHEREAS, the actions of Task Force Charlie reflect
1 23 great credit upon all citizen soldiers of the Iowa
1 24 National Guard and the people of the State of Iowa;
1 25 and
1 26 WHEREAS, the people of the State of Iowa take great
1 27 pride in the professionalism of the members of Task
1 28 Force Charlie; NOW THEREFORE,
1 29 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 30 That the House of Representatives recognizes the
2 1 members of Task Force Charlie for their dedication and
2 2 outstanding performance of duty, and that the House of
2 3 Representatives expresses its appreciation to the
2 4 families of the members of Task Force Charlie.
2 5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this
2 6 Resolution be presented to the Iowa Army National
2 7 Guard Commander of the First Battalion, 168th
2 8 Infantry; to the members of the First Battalion, 168th
2 9 Infantry; and to all the members of Task Force
2 10 Charlie.
