1 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION NO.
1 2 BY WARNSTADT, TYMESON, ALONS, and MURPHY
1 3 A House Resolution recognizing Task Force Alpha of the
1 4 Iowa Army National Guard for its dedication and
1 5 outstanding performance of duty.
1 6 WHEREAS, one hundred two soldiers from the First
1 7 Battalion, 133rd Infantry (Task Force Alpha), were
1 8 selected to perform a vital security mission in Saudi
1 9 Arabia and Kuwait from October 10, 2000, to February
1 10 17, 2001; and
1 11 WHEREAS, throughout their mobilization, deployment,
1 12 and demobilization, the members of Task Force Alpha
1 13 continually demonstrated professionalism, dedication,
1 14 and skill of the highest level; and
1 15 WHEREAS, the members of Task Force Alpha, in their
1 16 active duty abroad, were separated from home and
1 17 family relationships and obligations, and missed
1 18 special family occasions as they fulfilled their
1 19 assignment; and
1 20 WHEREAS, the actions of Task Force Alpha reflect
1 21 great credit upon all citizen soldiers of the Iowa
1 22 National Guard and the people of the state of Iowa;
1 23 and
1 24 WHEREAS, the people of the state of Iowa take great
1 25 pride in the professionalism of the members of Task
1 26 Force Alpha; NOW THEREFORE,
1 27 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 28 That the House of Representatives recognize the
1 29 members of Task Force Alpha for their dedication and
1 30 outstanding performance of duty, and that the House of
2 1 Representatives express its appreciation to the
2 2 families of the members of Task Force Alpha;
2 3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a copy of this
2 4 Resolution be presented to the Iowa Army National
2 5 Guard Commander of the First Battalion, 133rd
2 6 Infantry; to the members of the First Battalion, 133rd
2 7 Infantry; and to all the members of Task Force Alpha.
