HOUSE STUDY BILL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS

H.S.B. 774 Ways and Means

Relating to sales tax exemptions for certain farm machinery and
equipment, providing an effective date, and making provisions
retroactively applicable.

H.S.B. 775 Ways and Means

Relating to the exemption from the sales and use taxes of the sale,
rental, or furnishing of information reports or data services
transferred by certain means, providing for refunds, and including an
effective and retroactive applicability date provision.

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS

MR. SPEAKER: The Chief Clerk of the House respectfully reports
that the following committee recommendations have been received
and are on file in the office of the Chief Clerk.

COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS

Senate File 2302, a bill for an act relating to programs and public health issues
under the purview of the Iowa department of public health and the appropriation of
certain fees to the department.

Fiscal Note is not required.

Recommended Amend and Do Pass with amendment H-8479 March 21, 2000.

Committee Bill (Formerly House Study Bill 769), relating to the funding of,
operation of, and appropriation of moneys to the college student aid commission, the
department of cultural affairs, the department of education, and the state board of
regents, providing related statutory changes, and providing effective dates.

Fiscal Note is not required.

Recommended Amend and Do Pass March 21, 2000.
