The House met pursuant to adjournment at 9:35 a.m., Gipp of
Winneshiek in the chair.
Prayer was offered by the Honorable Bill Dotzler, state repre-
sentative from Black Hawk County.
The Journal of Thursday, February 10, 2000 was approved.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House Joint Resolution 2006, by committee on ways and means,
a joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the
State of Iowa relating to the power of the people to affirm or reject
Acts of the General Assembly relating to the individual income tax or
sales or use tax.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 2217, by committee on education, a bill for an act
relating to collection of the physical plant and equipment property tax
levy in urban renewal areas using tax increment financing and
providing an applicability date.
Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means.
House File 2218, by committee on commerce and regulation, a
bill for an act creating a county and state mutual insurance guaranty
association and providing penalties.
Read first time and placed on the calendar.
House File 2219, by committee on commerce and regulation, a
bill for an act relating to the limitation on deposits which may be held
by a depository institution or holding company and establishment of a
procedure for determining compliance with such limitation.
