transportation assistance aid to certain school districts.

House File 2132, by Kreiman, a bill for an act relating to
visitation rights of parents who have been convicted of certain crimes.
Read first time and referred to committee on judiciary.
House File 2133, by Huser, Sunderbruch, Bukta, Falck,
Kettering, Dotzler, Eddie, Van Engelenhoven, Myers, Kreiman, Teig,
Huseman, Gipp, Dix, Carroll, and Thomas, a bill for an act relating to
certain state and municipal agencies by making changes relating to
the provision of and training for fire protection service and emergency
medical service, by amending the powers and duties of townships and
township officers, and by providing for the nonpartisan election of
township officers.

MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE
The following messages were received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on
February 1, 2000, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the House is
asked:
Senate File 2048, a bill for an act providing for the appointment and length of terms
for members added to a hospital board of trustees.
Also: That the Senate has on February 1, 2000, adopted the following resolution in
which the concurrence of the House is asked:
Senate Concurrent Resolution 101, a concurrent resolution to request a United
States Corps of Engineers' study of the lower Des Moines River.
